Currently I continue to work part time within the NHS. I work in MSK outpatients at Chorley Hospital. Alongside my NHS role I am steadily building my private practice. Initially I was based at Xfit gym in Chorley. After some gentle persuasion I started to attend some Brazilian Jiu Jitsu classes at Alleycat Academy under the guidance of Professor Neil Atkins.
During my time at the academy, I have formed a close working relationship with the head coach. I have been able to establish my private practice within the academy over the last few years. The academy is under continuous development and growth. It is one of the best equipped BJJ and strength and conditioning academies in the region. It has two highly specialised strength and conditioning coaches working from the academy also.
The clinic is situated within the academy and has full access to the strength and conditioning suite. It has a wealth of highly specialised equipment, perfect for the inclusion in our rehabilitation programmes. Our aim is to restore function and return to your chosen activity or sport. We have close links to the S&C coaches and BJJ coaches.
So, for long term S&C progressions we can highly recommend our S&C coaching staff. If it is a return to BJJ then we have close links to some highly specialised coaches at the academy that will ensure an appropriate integration and graded return to BJJ participation.
Chorley Physiotherapy has approval to accept private healthcare insurance providers. If you have private healthcare, then I would recommend discussing with your provider to ensure you have the correct referral details and provider number. Please then get in contact to organise your consultation.

Due to the current pandemic, we are offering an online service. This is proving to be successful at present. Long term, we will be exploring in the new year ways of returning to a face-to-face approach and may also maintain some online classes.
If you book an appointment, then we look forward to helping you improve your symptoms and restore normal function. Please don’t hesitate to contact for more information on the services we provide.
